Youth & Women

YOUTH PEOPLE ( women, hearing children coda and deaf children coda )

The goal is to encourage and support young or women deaf individuals from Eritrea (Eri) living in Europe. Efforts should be made to promote and protect the interests of all young deaf individuals across Europe, including those from minority groups within the deaf community. This includes both adults and hearing individuals such as CODAs (Children of deaf Adults) whether they are hearing children of deaf parents or deaf children raised by hearing parents.

Many deaf young people in Europe have grown up with their parents, while others have migrated or sought refuge, arriving alone and often struggling with the emotional challenge of missing their families. Nonetheless, it's important for them to focus on building a new life in Europe, developing self-confidence, and seeking opportunities for personal growth and learning.

In addition, they should be encouraged to advocate for themselves, bridging cultural differences in Europe and taking on leadership roles in their own lives.

Empowering Deaf Youth through Sports, Culture, and Language

Empowering Deaf Youth through Sports, Culture, and Language. To assess progress every six months or annually, flexible opportunities should be provided for deaf youth, including sports, campus activities, and cultural programs. Offering native and bilingual language education will empower them to shape their future, while also fostering confidence in their personal growth. The goal is to aim higher than just meeting basic targets -encouraging them to build bridges between cultures and take control of their lives.
